• Lead teams of Java developers, designing and implementing rich internet applications utilizing Java Server Faces, Facelets, and other Java technologies and targeted for both a public audience (external website) and an internal associate desktop. My largest delivered product was a sales workflow application for tracking the progress of a new or existing client bringing assets to Vanguard. The application recorded assets and literature as they arrived and triggered the automatic scheduling of outreach tasks as part of a predefined workflow. Another recent effort took an existing associate task management system, which handled large amounts of data, and improved the performance by 85% through javascript optimizations, introducing a different browser rendering engine, and optimizing DB2 data retrievals.

Jockey corporate guidelines eventually shut down the site when they ruled consultants were no longer allowed to have their own sites.

• Webmaster and sole coder for an e-commerce store selling hand-crafted beaded jewelry, integrated with Google Checkout for shopping cart capabilities. Coded from the ground up, it was Java and JSP-based application on the server-side to create the CSS-driven pages, utilizing the jQuery library on the client-side for some rich UI capabilities. Unfortunately, the owner decided to quit the business to pursue other ventures.
