Scientifically Trained, Creatively Inclined

Daughter to Filipino-American and a Samoan-American parents, I grew up in the culturally diverse melting pot known as the San Francisco Bay Area.

With an eye for fashion, and the world as my color palette, I am interested in a career in merchandise marketing. This, I have learned through real-life experiences. As a part-time brand and visuals associate at the Gap located in San Diego, I not only work with visuals and branding for the store in Fashion Valley, but I also run the store‚Äôs Facebook and Instagram accounts. However, my educational path into the fashion and marketing industries have been eclectic, to say the least.

As a biology student with a knack for writing, I have a desire to connect with people on a level deeper than what could be achieved through any science profession. The ambition to do more sparked my interest in exploring other fields of study at San Diego State University and in my second year at SDSU, I declared a second major in public relations. With a scientific outlook, a strategic mind and a tendency to analyze every situation from macro- to microscopic levels, these two very opposite areas of study have allowed me to view the world in ways that could not be achieved by solely studying a single major.

Aside from the academic score card, I have a passion for bay area sports teams, all things Disney and most importantly, cold weather.
